Participant Guide — Cheltenham 2026

1 Submitting Your Selections

Each day of the festival (Tuesday through Friday), you'll select one horse for each of the 7 races.

Step 1: Go to Submit Selections

Navigate to Submit Selections from the homepage or menu.

Step 2: Choose Your Day

Select which day you're entering selections for (Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, or Day 4).

Step 3: Enter Your Details

Fill in your name and email address. Use the same email each day so all your selections are linked to your account.

Step 4: Select Your Horses

For each of the 7 races, pick one horse from the dropdown menu. Horses marked with ⭐ are favourites.

Step 5: Submit Before the Deadline

Click "Submit Selections" before 12:45 PM each day. The countdown timer shows how much time you have left.

Submissions close at 12:45 PM each day and reopen at 6:00 PM for the next day's selections. Don't miss the deadline!

You can check the Race Card to see all horses, jockeys, and trainers before making your selections.

Repeating for Other Days

The process is exactly the same for Days 2, 3, and 4:

Return to the Submit Selections page
Select the new day (e.g., Day 2)
Use the same email address
Pick your 7 horses
Submit before 12:45 PM

2 Viewing the Leaderboard

The Leaderboard shows the overall standings throughout the festival.

      What You'll See:
      Position: Your ranking among all participants
Total Points: Your cumulative score across all days
Daily Breakdown: Points earned on each day
Podium Display: Top 3 participants highlighted

    

How Points Are Calculated

You earn points when your selected horses win their races. Points are based on:

The horse's starting position (longer shots = more points)
Favourite bonus (+2 points if your horse becomes the favourite)

The leaderboard refreshes every 60 seconds during racing, so you can watch your position change in real-time!

3 Day 4 Shoot-Out

Day 4 (Friday) has a special Shoot-Out leaderboard with its own prizes!

      What Makes Day 4 Special:
      Day 4 points are tracked separately
Independent leaderboard just for Friday's races
Win the Shoot-Out even if you're not leading overall!

    

Think of it as a "last chance" competition - everyone has a fresh opportunity to win on the final day, regardless of their overall position.

Some participants focus on safe selections for Days 1-3, then take bigger risks on Day 4 for the Shoot-Out!

4 Checking My Results

The My Results page is your personal dashboard.

Step 1: Enter Your Email

Go to My Results and enter the email address you used for your selections.

Step 2: View Your Dashboard

You'll see:

Overall Position: Where you rank among all participants
Total Points: Your cumulative score
Shoot-Out Position: Your Day 4 ranking
Daily Breakdown: Expand each day to see which horses you picked and how many points they earned

      What You'll See For Each Day:
      All 7 races with your selected horses
Winners marked with 🏆
Points earned per race
Daily point total

    

Bookmark the My Results page and check back after each day's racing to see how you did!
